CANDIDATES

How do I register and what is the process?
Email or drop off a resume and you will then be contacted by a recruiter.

Can I ever get hired by a client I work for?
Yes, this happens quite often.

What types of jobs do you have available?
The list is endless. Anything from administrative positions, bookkeepers, computer related, all levels of management, engineers, janitorial…and the list goes on….

How long will it take to find me a job?
It depends on orders that are placed with us.

How and when do I get paid?
You get paid every 2 weeks, through direct deposit.

Is there a cost/Do you keep any part of my salary?
Absolutely NOT, we discuss your wage before commencement of an assignment. Any applicable fees are paid by our clients.

Is it ok to register with more than 1 agency?
Yes, we often recommend this.

Do you provide benefits and do I get paid for holidays?
Basic source deductions including 4% vacation pay are included in your pay cheque. No medical benefits are available at this time. Statutory holidays are normally excluded for temporary workers, however, some of our clients do elect to pay statutory holidays at their discretion.

How do I know when/where my resume is being sent out?
We will always call you to discuss a position before your resume is sent out.

How long is my resume kept on file?
Until you tell us you are no longer looking for work.

Do I have to accept every assignment I am offered?
No, the decision is yours to make.

What if I don't like the placement? Do I have to give notice?
We expect a reasonable amount of time to replace you.

 

CLIENTS

Is there a guarantee?
All candidates do come with a 3 month guarantee.

Are Candidates screened and tested?
Candidates are interviewed, skill tested and references are checked before they become available for placement.

Do you provide security clearances for candidates?
At your request, we will provide driver's license abstracts, police clearances and credit checks.

Is there a minimum length to a contract? Can I buy a contract out early?
This all depends on the type of placement. Ex: temp, temp to perm, perm. Early buyouts are always negotiable.

What are your main areas of placement?
Whatever our client requires, we place anyone from the 'Janitor to the CEO'

Can I deal with more than 1 agency for the same position?
No problem! We suggest it.

What happens if I receive the same candidate from 2 different agencies?
Go with the agency that sends you the resume first.

 

GENERAL

Do you counsel on interview skills?
We are a full service agency and we counsel our candidates on proper interview etiquette.

What if I don't have a resume prepared?
We do basic resumes for $20. The cost will vary for more detailed resume preparation and counselling.
